This was my last indoor session before the pandemic and lockdown hit. It was a “newborn” session, but it was so much more... it was life. Toddler snacks, baby yawns and feedings, dog hanging with us the whole time, a mother in town to help with a newborn... I love getting to document all these things. I am still not booking indoor sessions, but until I am again I’ll be dreaming of experiences just like this one.

This family’s house was full of light and love and energy. I had the privilege of photographing this sweet baby’s birth as well, and it was a joy to see her thriving at home with her two big brothers as constant entertainment. Newborn sessions are less about the baby for me, and everything to do with the way familial relationships grow deeper and stronger as everyone’s hearts expand in order to love another person.
